House of Oil and Biodiversity

Maiolati Spontini - A rural oasis between culture, agriculture and wellness Immersed in the heart of the Esini Hills, at the gates of Maiolati Spontini, the House of Oil and Biodiversity is much more than an agricultural structure: it is a symbol of regeneration, rural culture and valorization of the territory, was created to promote the olive biodiversity of the Marche and today it has become a reference point for immersive experiences, sustainable tourism and synergies between local producers. The structure is born from a municipal project, developed in collaboration with Amap (formerly Assam) and the Faculty of Agriculture of the Polytechnic University of Marche, with the aim of preserving and enhancing the native olive varieties of Marche. To manage and develop this project is now the Azienda Agricola Carbonetti, also promoter of the project "Marche in Fermento", which aims at a new vision: create a network between agricultural companies, cultural realities, producers and tourists, to create a real Farm Marchigiana Diffusa. An agricultural park between biodiversity and innovation. The heart of the structure is a restored former farmhouse, surrounded by more than 4.5 hectares of park with about 1,100 olive trees belonging to 22 regional varieties, divided into five areas, each managed with a different cultivation method (from traditional to super-intensive). The olive grove is both a place of (organic) production and an open-air laboratory for agronomic and educational activities, certifying the Casa dell'Olio as a virtuous model of integrated agriculture, sustainable and didactic. Promotion, reception and culture of the territory. The Casa dell'Olio has started, in recent years, an important tourist enhancement process, which has transformed the structure into a multipurpose center open to the public, where quality agricultural production is combined (monovarietal and blend EVO oil), educational and experiential reception for schools, tourists and enthusiasts, seasonal and cultural events related to the territory and its traditions. Tradition, nature and community: the calendar of events that tells the territory At the House of Oil and Biodiversity, each season becomes an opportunity to experience the territory in an authentic and engaging way. The events, designed and managed with passion by Azienda Agricola Carbonetti together with partners active on the territory (cultural associations and proloco), combine agricultural values, rural culture and personal well-being, offering accessible and inclusive experiences suitable for all ages, Promoting contact with nature and sociality in a relaxed and regenerating environment.

Merenda nell’Oliveta E’ il primo degli eventi annuali della Casa dell’olio. Si celebra il risveglio della natura con Passeggiate naturalistiche tra gli ulivi, guidate da esperti di biodiversità e conoscitori di erbe spontanee; Degustazioni guidate di oli monovarietali, miele, vino e prodotti locali; Laboratori esperienziali e artistici, come la realizzazione collettiva dell’opera “I colori della meraviglia”, nata da un’esperienza emozionale guidata da una psicoterapeuta. Festa con le Stelle Uno degli appuntamenti più attesi dell’estate. Si svolge in tre serate consecutive, in un ambiente privo di inquinamento luminoso, ideale per osservare il cielo stellato, grazie alla presenza di telescopi professionali e astronomi esperti. L’evento propone: Osservazione delle stelle cadenti, pianeti e costellazioni Le nuove frontiere dello spazio, breve conferenza e filmato Degustazioni tematiche (oli e vini locali, birre agricole, salumi e formaggi, liquori artigianali…) Concerti all’alba, immersi in un’atmosfera magica e meditativa Camminata tra gli Olivi Organizzata in collaborazione con le associazioni del territorio, viaggio alla scoperta della Maiolati agricola e delle sue radici. La mattinata si apre con la raccolta delle olive, che coinvolge bambini, famiglie, anziani e curiosi, restituendo il valore sociale del lavoro agricolo. A seguire: Breve “camminata” nel parco della Casa dell’olio, alla scoperta delle varietà autoctone degli olivi giovani e secolari. “Cammino dei Santi Scomodi”, un itinerario escursionistico naturalistico promosso dall’associazione “A Ruota Libera Moie”. Percorsi a cavallo, in pony o asinelli grazie alla collaborazione dell’Associazione Equestre Degustazione dell’olio nuovo appena franto, accompagnato ai piatti della tradizione rurale. Come una volta… facciamo i cappelletti! Evento dedicato alla memoria culinaria delle famiglie marchigiane. Protagoniste sono le donne del territorio, che insegnano a preparare i cappellet

Snack in the Oliveta It is the first of the annual events of the House of Oil. It celebrates the awakening of nature with Naturalistic walks among the olive trees, guided by experts in biodiversity and connoisseurs of wild herbs; Guided tastings of mono-varietal oils, honey, wine and local products; Experiential and artistic workshops, such as the collective creation of the work "The colors of wonder", born from an emotional experience led by a psychotherapist. Party with the stars One of the most anticipated events of the summer. It takes place on three consecutive evenings, in an environment free of light pollution, ideal for observing the starry sky, thanks to the presence of professional telescopes and experienced astronomers. The event will propose: Observation of shooting stars, planets and constellations The new frontiers of space, short conference and film Thematic tastings (local oils and wines, farm beers, cold meats and cheeses, craft liqueurs...) Concerts at dawn, immersed in a magical and meditative atmosphere Walk among the olive trees Organized in collaboration with local associations, a trip to discover the agricultural Maiolati and its roots. The morning begins with the olive harvest, which involves children, families, the elderly and curious people, returning the social value of agricultural work. The following: Short "walk" in the park of the oil house, to discover the native varieties of young and secular olive trees. "Cammino dei Santi Scomodi", a naturalistic hiking route promoted by the association "A Ruota Libera Moie". Routes on horseback, pony or donkeys thanks to the collaboration of the Equestrian Association Tasting of fresh olive oil, accompanied by traditional rural dishes.

As before... we make the caplets! Event dedicated to the culinary memory of Marche families. The protagonists are the women of the territory, who teach how to prepare handmade cappelletti, just as was done "once", with: Ancient gestures handed down Family stories Simple and genuine ingredients An opportunity to rediscover the value of doing things together, cooking with love and sharing food as a caring gesture. The Christmas atmosphere and warm welcome make this one of the most exciting events of the year.
